Shandong Youth Federation Hosts Youth Entrepreneur Exchange in Singapore

On October 8-9, 2024, the Belt and Road Youth Alliance (BARYA) successfully led 18 representatives from the Shandong Youth Federation to Singapore for the Shandong (Lu) - Singapore Youth Entrepreneur Exchange Conference. This initiative aimed to foster deeper connections between youth from Shandong and Singapore.

Purpose of the Exchange

BARYA is dedicated to promoting youth exchanges and cooperation among countries along the Belt and Road Initiative. Our goal is to create a platform where young people can learn from one another, share ideas, and explore opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative. This exchange aims to enhance cultural understanding and encourage business collaborations between the youth of Shandong and Singapore.

Event Highlights

Youth Talent Exchange Seminar

On October 9, we hosted a Youth Talent Exchange Seminar at the National University of Singapore. The event included:

• Opening remarks by the President of the Singapore Chinese Scholars and Students Association.

• A speech by Peng Li, Vice Chair of the Shandong Youth Federation.

• Presentations by youth representatives from both sides, including a professor and National University of Singapore students.

• A lively session of free interaction among participants, followed by a group photo.

Shandong-Singapore Youth Entrepreneurs Conference

The evening of October 9 saw the Shandong-Singapore Youth Entrepreneurs Conference held at UClub. The agenda featured:

• A promotional video showcasing Shandong.

• Keynote speeches from BARYA representatives and Peng Li.

• Exchange talks between youth entrepreneurs from Shandong and Singapore.

• A signing ceremony for cooperation between the Shandong Youth Federation and BARYA Singapore.

• Opportunities for networking and office visits.

Visit to the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce

On October 10, a visit to the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce was organized, which included:

• Opening remarks from chamber representatives.

• A presentation highlighting Shandong's potential.

• Discussions between young entrepreneurs from both regions.
